Treatment Philosophy

Many of us were not born into families where all of our needs were met when and how we needed. Many of us have experienced hardship, trauma, drama, and life events that were unexpected and which effected us far deeper than we were prepared for. Life has a way of making us grow at the most inconvenient moments and pushing us harder and further than we have ever dared to imagine.

After nearly two decades of working as a social worker- serving people and walking alongside them in their journey of growth and search for fulfillment and meaning in life experiences, I have learned that we are all doing the best we can with what we have at the moment.

The truth is that I certainly don't have anyone's answers. I definitely don't have the only "truth" and I am no one's "guru." Nor do I ever hope to be or have any of those things. My life also continues to be a work in process. I never "throw rocks from my own glass house."

What I do have is a gift to "hold space" for people. I have dedicated my career and life to my own growth and to the growth of others. I have perspective and the ability to share that perspective in a way that is simple to understand and inspires change. I have the gift to see others strengths even when they can't see their own greatness and need for growth and learning. Nothing is scary. Nothing is too big or too deep or too much for me to be able to listen and be with you in your process. I have acquired a massive toolbox of skills, experiences and processes that may assist you in navigating your journey.

Every journey is as unique as the person. I am not the therapist for everyone. I am a therapist that challenges, accepts, trusts, nurtures and empowers. I am the therapist that speaks openly and frankly. One that has been known to swear in session (when warranted) and one who isn't afraid to call one out on their shit. I live from an accountable space and encourage others to do the same. It is only from a space of accountability that healing, learning, forgiveness, letting go, trust and growth can occur.

Kasia graduated from the University of Utah with her Master’s degree in social work (MSW) in May 2015 and her undergraduate degree in social work (BSW) in 2007 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kasia is currently licensed in the states of Nevada, Utah, and Ohio. She is trained in and uses many clinical modalities in her practice including:

Some of Kasia’s greatest accomplishments are being a wife to her husband, Larry, and mother to her six amazing children: Maggie, Nona, Sarah, Robbie, Michael, and Sophia. She lives in Las Vegas, NV.
